We are so excited to introduce Andrea! As the Store Manager of the one and only Angel Maternity store, Andrea is the friendly face most of our customers see when they visit the store.
Hi Andrea, tell us a bit about yourself?
I’m a mum (my greatest achievement to date!), a happy wife and I love being a people person.
I’ve been with Angel for 3 years now and have really enjoyed my journey. In addition to managing the store, I also get involved in the design side of things. I love being able to discuss fabrics and styles with our amazing design team. I also represent Angel Maternity at our expos, baby shows and the recent international show in the USA.
What do you like most about your role at Angel Maternity?
I love that I get to meet so many amazing women. First time mums, working mums and mums coming in pregnant with toddlers ready to embark on another little soul entering their busy families.
What can customers find when they visit the store?
We have an amazing range of maternity and nursing wear: for work, casual everyday, street to home maternity sets, sleepwear, leggings and many more. We also have a selection of comfortable maternity bras from Cake Maternity and Berlei, and customers can get a professional bra fitting.
Your top 3 tips for buying maternity or nursing clothes?
Don’t just buy online, come into the store! Buying for a growing baby bump is different to just buying bigger size clothes. You’d want to try the clothes first to make sure they fit perfectly over your bump and everywhere else.
Get staple pieces for your wardrobe that can last from pregnancy, to nursing and after the baby is born. Our clothes are designed especially for maternity so you have the option to buy maternity clothes with nursing access that can last throughout your pregnancy journey and beyond.
Buy great quality nursing bras and get fitted by a specialist. If you have a fast letdown or an oversupply of breastmilk or prone to getting mastitis, you need to make sure you wear a good comfortable bra.
Can you really wear maternity clothes after you’ve had the baby?
Of course! I have so many customers who come in to buy leggings in the smaller size after they’ve had the baby because they love the fit and fabric. I wear Angel Maternity too! You wouldn’t know it was maternity as the style and make is quite versatile. I own a lot of the bamboo range, they’re so comfortable!
Anything else you’d like to say?
Come to the store! I have ladies driving from Canberra, Newcastle, Kiama, Blue Mountains and from all over Sydney, to be fitted into our Angel Maternity clothes. I am happy to spend as much time with you as you need. I’ve had ladies spend 2 hours with me as they try on A LOT of clothes to see them through their pregnancy. We want our customers to leave feeling good about themselves, and knowing that they now have clothes to see them through the wonderful time of change and growth.
